ATLANTIC was founded in 1920 and is now one of the leading manufacturers of bonded abrasives in the world. Synthetically manufactured electro aluminium oxide, sintered aluminium oxide, silicon carbide, cubic boron nitride and diamond in a vitrified or resin bond are used as high performance abrasives. The end products include grinding wheels in diameters ranging from 15 to 1110 mm, grinding segments, long stroke honing stones, superfinishing stones and honing cups.

ATLANTIC learned to master the complex production methods of fine grain abrasives at a very early stage and was the first to manufacture these abrasives on an industrial scale. Having quickly realised the ever-increasing importance of fine surface finishes and tight dimensional tolerances, ATLANTIC gained a strong market presence within the precision machining sector.
